Regarding weapons-styles, we have short swords, long swords, clubs/maces, spears, glaives, javelins, archery and rocks (which can be designed into whatever shape you like as long as they pass that category of weapon rules).
Then there are some uncommon designs like axes, scythes, etc. that either don't work well for the game or are extremely difficult to build safely.
Nothing that trips, entangles, or uses a punch to attack. Weapons must be weapons and shields must be shields… there is no combining the two into one item.
Twolf, an Angaron veteran, originally wrote this list back in 2009 and posted it on the Dagorhir forums, welcoming others for input. It's a great asset. Look it over before buying/collecting materials to make weapons.
Before you start building make sure to check your chosen core on this handy chart to make sure it wont fail for flex.
Notes: Here are some places to get bows... we tried to stay away from plasticy / kid-looking / smaller bows for our recommendations. However, if that's what you want to start with and it and your arrows pass weapons check then you should be fine. Dagorhir's max bow weight is 35 lbs, measured at 28-inch draw. It's personal preference what you wanna do, but it's definitely viable to get as close to 35 as possible to max out, but many personally like 25-30. They just don't wanna mess with a weapons checker being in a grumpy mood.
